- My page will be telling you how a solid turns to a gas and a gas turns into a solid without melting or freezing first.

- I'll tell you about a solid turning into gas first. This process is called sublimation. It works by turning automatically into water vapor without melting first. An example is if you leave ice cubes in your fridge for a couple of weeks, they will freeze but will slowly get smaller. Another example is dry ice. If you leave it out it will automatically turn into vapor.

- Now I'll tell you about a gas turning into a solid. This process is called deposition. It works by automatically turning into a solid with out freezing first. An example is frost because water vapor in the air will automatically turn to ice on the grass.
